Inspiring read
Just read the naïve (in a wonderful way) book Getting Real, http://gettingreal.37signals.com. Inspiring for anyone who wants to build the next big online application (where big certainly does not mean bulky or bloaty).

Well, you don’t have to take my word for it. Go see the mess for yourself:
=> 33 pages of bugs gathered by a hardened community at my-symbian.
=> 22 pages of bugs over at Esato.
Embarrassingly buggy, Sony Ericsson
I promised myself to refrain from writing about my Sony Ericsson P990i since it would work against my own short-term interests. Well, I cannot hold it back anymore.
I’ll put it short: I have never ever seen anything buggier than this phone. It is somewhere between laugable and useless. That hurts me. The whole idea is good. This could have been a killer phone and it still has potential to be if the developers working on it are allowed to finish their work. But take my word: It is pretty far from finished at this state.
What remains a mystery is:
=> How could SE announce this phone under “coming soon” in October 2005? (It wasn’t)
=> How could SE decide it was ready for the market in October 2006? (It isn’t)
Something must be pretty fucked up with the management and the whole development process over at Sony Ericsson.
